Mike Alves and Change your body boot camp is a life changer. The key is the whole body approach to fitness and wellness, combined with the positive behavioral changes that come with accountability he instills. I’ve been going year round for about 6 years, and I’m so much better off for it: happier, healthier, and more confident.
Running has always been my hobby and passion, I was part of my college athletics team and loved to be fast!
For the past 10 years I've been a solo runner, on and off due to minor injuries that prevented me from running for a few weeks, impacting my running times. As much as I wanted and tried, I was not able to run faster…
I met Mike through our kids' school. A year ago I decided to start training with him. The first thing I noticed was that my knee wasn't bothering me every other week as before, It made me curious about how the training was helping; soon after I started lowering my times, by then I was hooked!
This past weekend I ran my fastest 5k in almost 20 years (19:29) finishing 3rd place in my category and 14th overall on a local race with +1.2k runners. Training with Mike made it possible!
Thanks Mike! You rock!
Hurra!!!
I'm 57 years old and had my right hip replaced 8 years ago. My wife and I decided it was time to get in better shape so we both joined in early February after I got an OK from my doctor. I was not grossly overweight (191 lbs and 6ft 2"), but after changing my diet, attending classes 3 times a week, and doing some additional cardio workouts (walking), I was able to lose 20 lbs in approximately 2 months and to actually change my body and health for the better.
Mike Alves is an excellent coach and instructor, and I recommend this program to anyone who needs the discipline of a structured system like I did. The program also has many side benefits and challenges. I especially liked the Harvard Coliseum stair run on May 18th which I would have never been able to do as well as I did without the program and Coach Alves.
EXCELLENT!!
I don't know how he does it , but Mike Alves keeps a group of people of varying ages and abilities motivated, moving, and engaged (at 6:00 in the morning, no less). Since starting this program in late February, I have seen drastic improvements to my biometrics, my running speed, and my general flexibility and energy level.
I've tried all kinds of fitness approaches, and this program really works. I'm sticking to it. And it's fun!
