Midas

I came in today on the advice of my daughter, who said they were very nice. Joe, I think the owner/manager looked up the car, but could not find any record of it, guessing that they probably did her oil change for free?? He was a great guy. I am from Portland, Oregon, the real Portland, And we got in this convoluted story about why I was here changing the oil of a Maine car in Newburyport. Regardless, you always have to have a reservation to get an oil change here less you show up when they have an opening, which they did today. Great service, very reasonable price, and great stories to tell. we will come back.

I cannot say enough about Midas, Newburyport. Before moving to the area, I had definitely been taken advantage of by other repair shops. First time I went to Midas Newburyport, I was sure I wasn't going to be able to afford the work, when I told them that I may have to forgoe some of the necessary work that needed to get done, Tim and the owner informed me that they refused to let me drive in an unsafe car and they made sure that the repairs were done in a way that I could afford them. I have been treated fairly and I have never, ever felt ripped off. They also never blow off my phone calls and questions. They are knowledgeable and accommodating. I am so glad that I FINALLY have a repair shop that I can trust . When I mention these things to my clients, over and over again, I hear the same stories from them about this Midas location. I will not trust another place for and honest answer and fair price. All the work I have had done from them has been great, I have never gone back with a complaint.

I can't describe how much Tim helped us out today. My husband and I are 11 hrs away from home and our car broke down on a Saturday at that. Tim went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us out. Otherwise we would have had to rent a trailer and a truck to haul this car home 11 hrs and cut our vacation short. I'd much rather give this place my business and money than to have spent it on trailering and towing home and still not having the car fixed. . Just when you lose faith in humanity people like Tim come along. Honest as they come. Thanks Tim at Midas.

Can't say enough about how happy we were to have found this place! If you're local and need anything done that they offer, check these guys out!! Late summer, we were traveling to the area and had arrived late the night before to our friend's house after driving in from Rochester, NY. The next morning, we were up early with plans to drop my husband off at the airport and I was supposed to then drive to Maine when we saw there was no air in the inside tire of our dually 😮 We didn't have much time to deal with this... 😬 My husband called a couple places and Midas was more than happy to have us come right over so they could help us. We arrived, were greeted with kindness and helped immediately. I'm only sorry I forget the gentleman's name who took care of us. He actually came right outside the minute we parked - before we even had a chance to walk inside. He then pulled our truck out back, had both tires off before we knew it and found a HUGE bolt was imbedded in the flat tire. He had it out, tire repaired, both tires back on the truck and got us on our way in record time. It was the BEST $20 we ever spent. These guys care about their work and their customers!!

Tim is the best! I was on the side of the road with a flat tire and Midas was right down the street. He walked right out when I pulled in and was able to patch my tire up in a matter of minutes and sent me on my way. Thank you Tim and team!
