Coming from Texas USA, Texas roadhouse is one of my favorite restaurants and I was very excited to try the Mexico concept. In beautiful Santa Fe a short Uber ride from the city. Matter fact this is my second visit!
The experience was very similar to what I am used to back in Texas. The classic rolls with cinnamon butter, classic appetizers such as rattlesnake bites, loaded potato skins, fried pickles. The entrées as well feature classical favorites such as imported steaks from the USA, my personal favorite the pork chops, fall off the bone ribs and many others.
Service can vary but I found they are possibly still learning the concept as my second visit wasn’t as pleasant as my first. But I returned because of the food. A must try if you want a true American style dinner.
I've been twice in last month. Once I've ordered ribs with barbecue sauce an a couple side dishes. Big portions and very tender ribs.
Second one I tried a burger. Same generous portion of frites an big meat and cheese quantity.
Prices are around 300-350$ per meal with beer
Ok let's start with what many are curious about, the meat is really delicious 😋, well cooked but they can do it whatever you like. Now the prices can be a bit expensive but it depends on what meat you'd want. They have fish, chicken and of course beef which is the best.
In general the place is OK, not the greatest among those restaurant that focus on beef but I bet you'd enjoy your time here.
Far from good ribs. Venue is nice, western-style. Food is not good, overcooked, dry and cold. Salad dressing was subpar. Veggies were over cooked. This are not “awarded ribs”, barely ok. Nevertheless, bread was very tasty.
I enjoyed this place a lot. The food, the service, everything. The first photo is not in Mx. I had to wait at least 30 min to have a table, The place is worth it. I just missed the French fries with bacon and cheddar cheese they serve in US, that why i’m taking one star out.
