The UPS Store

With all the Amazon returns going to UPS, the line is always crazy, at least the times I've been. However, the customer service is usually great. I'm not a fan of and definitely not happy of having to pay $2 to tape the top of a box that I didn't realize I had to do. I brought the box with the product in it like Amazon said but the top needed to be taped. I didn't realize it had to be taped. And because there's a $5 credit card limit and I had no cash, I had to buy a roll of tape for $7 for like a 4-in piece of tape. That's kind of greedy if you ask me. Other UPS stores I've gone to, have just taped it for you. I can see if the whole box needed to be taped or it was going to be a lot, but literally a 4-in piece, that's ridiculous.

The workers are rude and lack kindness. They watched me struggle as I walked in with my 4 year old in one hand and balance 3 packages in the other. The entire store was empty aside from the workers standing there doing nothing. Once at the desk they informed me that they wanted to charge me 2.99 for tape (package was in one of those interlocking brown boxes so it was tightly shut) and 7.99 for another because it needed a box that was “suitable for UPS.” This place is a rip off. I’ll go elsewhere next time. Also IN PARTICULAR JAMES who was the rudest of all, needs to be spoken to about being a human and having decency.

The older gentleman working there is as rude as can be. Had a problem with a prepaid label and he wanted to charge $5.50 to have the label reprinted in the store. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other UPS store in Middletown. They are no longer the only show in town and should fire their extremely impolite employee or they will continue to loose customers to the other UPS store with much better service. I will never waste my time returning to this location. Response to owner: No problem, I will be using the other UPS store in town. They are very polite. You should spend more time being nice to your customers and less time responding to your negative feedback.

Went to return an Amazon item that was shipped to me. I didn’t even open the box so I checked no package needed since I never opened it. Tried returning it how it arrived to me. He charged me $2 to tape one side of the box. Oh and then told me to use lab corp’s wifi to get on internet. Not sure what financial benefit they receive from Amazon but my advice use kohls instead.

"0" stars would be more applicable. I dropped off a package at UPS. Then I asked one employee if I could bring in a large box to be weighed. He said yes. I seriously struggled to carry the box into the store, put it on the scale and happened to see the weight. It was about 26 pounds. Another employee yelled out "we charge $5 to weigh a package". I said that other UPS stores do not charge. Then I told him that I happened to see the weight and he replied "thanks for stealing". What a rude man!! Safe to say that you will want to stay away from this business.
