Ridiculous customer service. I needed to mail something to get worked on and the company required me to include a paid for return shipping label in the box so they could send it back. This UPS store refused to allow me to include a return shipping label in the box stating it was their store policy not to allow that. The company I’m mailing to required return shipping or they wouldn't take it. Use a different store or better yet, Use FedEx. Which I did use Fedex and they had no problem including a shipping label in the box for return.
Got hit with a 120 customs fee for sending a drivers license to Canada. It returned to the USA, I went to pick it up and they charged me a 5 dollar “storage fee” as a kick in the pants.
Supervisor shrugged her shoulders when I asked for it to be waived after the bad experience.
Just use USPS, never had these issues with them.
I sent a package out to someone and bought a cardboard box that cost me $15. I contacted the recipient of this package and told them to let me know if it doesn’t come in that box and she notified me today and said it did not come in that box. So beware to all customers that if you buy a cardboard box to put your stuff in to ship out to make sure they seal it right then and there because they did not do mine but yet charged me $15.
My company uses UPS Stores nationally on a daily basis. I have to say, I rarely have had a problem as most UPS Stores are there to serve the needs of their customers. I was warned by local government officials that this wasn't the case with this store, which is why they refuse to deal with them. I attempted to have 3 fairly small boxes of electronics picked up from this local government office, by this store, a service thats generally offered within a 10-15 mile radius of a UPS Store (this pickup would of been 8.7 miles from this UPS Store). These Items were to be brought back to the store where they were to be professionally packaged for shipping. This store refused to make this pickup. I hired a 3rd party contractor to pickup these items and transport them to the UPS Store where I would pay the UPS Store to package/ship these items for me. I contacted the store where they once again refused to offer this service unless I came into the store (a store thats 483 miles from me) and pay for these services in person, as they refused to accept my business credit card over the phone for any packing/shipping services. I had to pay the 3rd party extra to place all the items into a box that would be acceptable to ship these items in. As this person is not a professional package handler, as most UPS Store employees are, I have no idea what condition these items will arrive in. Once the third party contractor arrived at the UPS Store, even though the store employees knew the circumstances behind this package to include that the package was being delivered to them for shipping, they refused to accept the package until I had emailed them the prepaid UPS Shipping Label. I highly discourage anyone from using this particular UPS Store...
This store is super-efficient and speedy. It is busy because of its prime location, but Amazon returns are super fast and easy here. It gets crazy around major holidays like Christmas, but who doesn't? Overall, the staff is professional, competent, and prompt. I come early and there's rarely a wait more than 2 minutes.
