Does anyone know what happened to this practice??? I paid out of pocket for 2 separate blood tests as I wanted to start a specific treatment with Dr. Shawn Howland.
I received my results from the first test and on my last visit I had another test done so I could begin my treatment 2 days later this place closed abruptly and I really believe that the nurse who is The docs wife knew that they were closing because suspiciously she told the receptionist not to schedule me that they would call me when they were ready to schedule my next appointment??? I paid out of pocket and never heard back they have this listed as a temporary closure but I think they are done for good! I had such high hopes for my treatment and with this practice every once in a while I check to see if they have an update for their patients I think that it's just selfish and ignorant to not even provide an update so people can know what is going on! I wish them well but this certainly looks like the end for this practice!

Dr. Howland is the best. I feel like a new man & always have a great visit. Dr. Howland and his staff always treat me like I’m their priority and not just another patient!

My initial appointment was great!  Not the usual disorganized waiting room mess where you wait for 45 past your appointment.  I was greeted and seen promptly and efficiently.  I met with Joy the PA there, and she was fantastic.   She listened, and answered all my questions.  They are extremely efficient, knowledgeable and the goal is to solve all your health concerns.  I was extremely satisfied with my experience and highly recommend them!   👍

My visit to Florida Men’s health center was great experience.The Atmosphere & the aroma scent of their office was magnificent. Staff was super friendly & everything was explained to the T. The owner took the time to explain everything in full detail & made sure I was comfortable with process. I definitely will be going again.

The nurse practitioner Joy was great! Very personable and knowledgeable. The facility was implacably clean and everyone from the front desk clerk to management were very professional and welcoming. I will  diffintely return and recommend.

Hormonlly balanced has been a pleasure to work with , my co worker informed me about the weight loss and great experience she was experiencing and I had to try it. Five Journeys

I have been going to Five Journeys for almost a year using Medical IV therapy. I can’t begin to describe how very grateful to have this service available but to have 2 very caring and compassionate nurses to be taken care of! Maren and Lauren are not only very professional and knowledgeable in what they do in delivering the highest standard of care possible! They go beyond making your visit not only comfortable and explaining everything what needs to be done. They are both empathetic and very kind. Both true nurses with their dedication and commitment to patient advocacy.
Highly recommend Five Journeys!

I joined in July 2023 and so far am suitably impressed!  Perhaps it’s because I’m used to a “typical” doctors offfice that I’m wondering if there is something missing.  When I meet with my PCP We don’t necessarily go to a procedure room. Instead we get together in a comfortable office.

One concern is whether they are truly prepared for every day medical needs as well as the functional side for which they are definitely prepared. I had to get stitches removed and the ER that put them in suggested going to my PCP for removal. The doc at five journeys wasn’t sure they had a stitches removal kit and hadn’t prepared based on my reason for setting up the appointment.  Not a big deal. Getting used to a new model for medicine.

The nutritionist I’ve met with twice so far is excellent. Solid advice based on ME not some generic white 64 yr old female.

I do have to teach my PCP to look at me more than the computer screen but that’s a common issue in zoom era (we were in person).

I’ll update as my experience grows.

My 3 yr old toddler used my phone while the stitches were being removed.  Good shot even if it does show my weight issue all too clearly.

This is the best functional medicine practice I’ve been to. Maren and Lauren are so helpful, informative, and accommodating in the IV room. I’ve had a few complications with some health issues and Maren has always been patient and knowledgeable in the best treatment options for me, even if some weren’t working. She has spent a considerable amount of time helping me navigate various medical diagnosis and always made sure I was informed about the treatments. Edward is also a gem.

As an existing patient with 5 Journey’s for over a year now, I can confidently say that the team I’ve partnered with has given me my health and quality of life back! My PCP Dr Lavena and Nutritionist Stacy DeLuca have been the most incredible support system over the past year, and have taken such time and care in making sure my health journey was effective and attainable for long term health. They looked at every aspect of my overall well-being to ensure no stone was left unturned.

The care didn’t end there. Their office and admin team have been extremely professional and hospitable throughout my time as a patient, and Elise on the administrative team has been a wonderful resource for appointment setting, follow-ups, and quick supplement shipments and refills.

The IV nurses at Five Journeys especially Maren and Lauren are always very caring, attentive and efficient.  They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well.   The new IV room is spacious and very peaceful with a view of some nature.  Scheduling is easy.  I have been going there for my heavy metal detox IV as well as wellness IV when I felt sick here and there.  I highly recommend then.

Men's Health Boston

I strongly advise against considering Sonic Wave Therapy (SWT) at Men's Health Boston. My experience with their full treatment was disastrous, causing more damage to my veins instead of any healing. Shockingly, this treatment isn't FDA approved, exacerbating my concerns.

The aftermath was debilitating—I struggled to urinate properly for days. What compounded the problem was the lack of expertise from the individual administering the treatment. It's evident that the person lacked the necessary experience, which only added to the ordeal.

Overall, this has been my worst healthcare experience. I wouldn't recommend this treatment or place to anyone.

Men's Health Boston is a well oiled machine. The staff is so friendly and efficient it isn't common these days in medical offices. Go see for yourself, you will be glad you did.

From my first call to MHB I was impressed with them.  I spoke with a lady named Barbara, Who could quite possibly be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She was informative, friendly and extremely helpful.  They were able to get me in for an appt. extremely fast and Barbara helped with insurance that I wasn’t sure would cover treatment, Thankfully it does, Thank you again Barbara.  DR. Applebaum was great. Explained everything very clearly so I knew why/what was happening and how to correct it. “Kevin number 2” Who did the bone scan was another very friendly/cool person that talked you through everything.  The lady that makes the appointments and schedules tests after your visit . Was amazing!  I really can’t say enough about this place. It was my first experience with them. And it was an extremely good one. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the entire office just has a really good vibe to it. I would highly suggest checking them

I had a great experience from the moment I walked through the door. The staff were very professional, as well as courteous. They didn’t make you feel just like a client, but a part a community. I would recommend this place to anyone, in need of the services they offer.

RN Kevin Flinn spent about an hour with me explaining medication and discussing all of my concerns and then some.  I walked out feeling very comfortable about treatment plan.  His bedside manner was outstanding and talking to him was extremely easy and free flowing.  He was an extremely nice person who knows his stuff. Have met with Nick a couple of times since and had great appointments. Very personable, east to talk to, answered all my questions.  Wish I didn’t need to go here but this is the place to go for men’s health problems if you need to go somewhere.
